Director

Emily is proud to serve as the Director at ART Cooperative Preschool, joining ART in September 2025, and immediately the centre has become a place that holds a special spot in her heart.

Emily is a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator, graduating with high distinction from Lakeland College. With over 15 years of experience in the field, Emily's background includes: leading before and after school programs, supporting at-risk youth, working with children with exceptionalities, and operating licensed daycares.

Emily's early childhood education is inspired by child-led philosophies, influenced by Reggio Emilia, Maria Montessori, and the power of outdoor play, creating a nurturing, inclusive, and safe environment where every child has an opportunity to thrive.

Emily is a proud wife and mother to three wonderful children. Her second daughter, who was born at only 29 weeks, was immunocompromised during her first year. That experience deepened Emily's commitment to ensuring safe, clean, and caring space for all children, especially those with unique health needs. When not at the center, Emily enjoys continuing her education through online courses, renovating her home, reading, spending quality time with her family, and cheering on her kids at their sports events.

Educator

Miss Naba is proud to be part of the ART Cooperative Preschool staff. Naba joined ART in the summer of 2023 as a summer student, and returned full-time after obtaining her ECE Level III at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

What Naba loves most about ART is its heart and purpose. ARTs mission is especially close to her heart, as her younger sister lives with Type 1 diabetes and is more vulnerable to illness and hospitalizations. Watching her sisters experiences has taught Naba the importance of understanding, compassion, and creating environments where all children can come to learn and play safely. and brings this to ART - a place dedicated to providing safe, in-person learning experiences for all children.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies, Naba values hands-on, experiential learning, where children can explore materials, make discoveries, and express their ideas in creative ways. Naba also values outdoor learning, as nature offers endless opportunities for curiosity, imagination, and meaningful connection with the world around us. Looking to the future, Naba hopes to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Education, while continuing to grow alongside the wonderful children, families, and staff at ART.

Outside of work, Naba enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, going for walks, and a little retail therapy.
